CSCEC Steel Won the First CNAS “Two in One” Certificate of China’s Steel Structure Industry
On Sep. 23rd, the Testing Center of CSCEC Steel was officially granted the laboratory and inspection institution “two in one” certificate by CNAS (ChinaNational Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment), which is the first one in China winning the certificate.
Winning the certificate means that CSCEC Steel can represent private clients, its parent body or official institutions to execute review, and provide conformity information of the inspected items against laws and regulations, standards, specifications, test plans or contracts to the above mentioned bodies in international steel structure inspection industry. Test parameters include quantity, quality, safety, applicability and running devices or continuous safety compliance conditions of systems. Services of CNAS laboratories and inspection institutions can be widely accepted by customers and supervision institutions within international agreement framework such as ILAC, PAC, and APLAC.
The items of CSCEC Steel that got the recognition include the major range of China’s steel structure inspection industry (mechanical properties test of raw materials, metallographic test, chemical composition analysis, nondestructive test, procedure qualification and slip resistance experiment), covering the whole inspection process of steel structure from review of work instructions, selection of raw materials, inspection before welding, welding process control, post-welding control, appearance check, nondestructive test of inner defects, physical and chemical properties test, and issuing of final reports.
The authentication of CNAS “two in one” marked the comprehensive inspection technology of CSCEC Steel as the third party inspection institutions has reached the leading level of China’s steel structure industry.
